What You Need to Know
  • Please be alert to current construction at the Old Seward Highway and 34th Avenue intersection, the Ingra Street and 3rd Avenue intersection, F Street and 3rd Avenue intersection, D Street and 7th Avenue intersection, D Street and 8th Avenue intersection and H Street and 7th Avenue intersection. 
Traffic Impacts

Please be alert to construction and maintenance at the following intersections throughout Anchorage: Old Seward Highway and 34th Avenue, 36th Avenue and LaTouche Street, Ingra Street and 4th Avenue, 3rd Avenue and F Street, 7th Avenue and D Street, 7th Avenue and H Street, 8th Avenue and E Street, 8th Avenue and H Street, and 8th Avenue and K Street. 

Work may include repaving, sign maintenance, curb bulb installations, sight-distance improvements, and signal pole and arm relocation.

Project End Result

The Alaska Department of Transportation is working with Neeser Construction, Inc. to increase intersection safety throughout Anchorage. Work includes repaving, sign maintenance, curb bulb installations, sight-distance improvements, and signal pole and arm relocation. This project is scheduled to be completed by the end of October, 2017.

Safety in all construction zones:

  • Traffic fines are double
  • Watch for changing driving surfaces
  • Watch for reduced speed limits
  • Be alert to and follow directions of flaggers
  • Drive with headlights on
  • Allow additional time when traveling
  • Watch for equipment and workers
