- Drivers should expect flagging and PILOT CAR operations 24 hours a day.
- Flagging stations will extend during paving operations and shorten when crews are finished paving for the day. PILOT CAR operations will continue at night to keep vehicles off of hot asphalt and away from uneven lanes.
- In a second work zone, crews will be working on road reconditioning. Drivers should expect PILOT CAR operations while crews are paving. When crews are finished reconditioning for the day, PILOT CAR operations will shorten to cover asphalt operations.
The Alaska Department of Transportation, in cooperation with QAP, is working to surface the Dalton Highway between MP 362 and 414. Work is expected to be complete in 2022.
