- Drivers should expect a LANE CLOSURE with flagging operations at MP 111.5, near the McHugh Creek Day Use Area from 5:00am to 6:00pm, Monday through Thursday, and 5:00am to 12:00pm on Fridays.
- Drivers should be aware of a reduced speed limit of 45 MPH throughout the project area.
- Drivers should also be aware of a concrete barrier along the centerline of the highway.
The Alaska Department of Transportation, in cooperation with Hi-Tech Rockfall Construction Inc., is performing stabilization work to mitigate rockfall sites along the Seward Highway between Anchorage and Girdwood. This is a multi-year project to address the highest potential rockfall areas between Anchorage and Girdwood. This project is expected to be complete in July 2023.
