What You Need to Know
  • Drivers should expect daily flagging operations from 8:30am to 6:00pm on the Seward Highway from MP 109.8 to 111.
  • Be alert to a concrete barrier along the centerline and a reduced speed limit of 45 MPH.
Project End Result

The Alaska Department of Transportation, in cooperation with Hi-Tech Rockfall Construction Inc., is performing stabilization work to mitigate rockfall sites along the Seward Highway between Anchorage and Girdwood. This is a multi-year project to address the highest potential rockfall areas between Anchorage and Girdwood. This project is expected to be complete in July 2023.
