The Alaska Department of Transportation, in cooperation with Southcentral Construction, is working to reconstruct the intersection of the Sterling Highway and Main Street to install signals. Work will include, grading, drainage, paving, signing, striping, installing ADA compliant facilities, and lighting. The intersection will include 4-way signals with turn lanes, ADA curb ramps, drainage improvements, and a new paved surface. Work is expected to be complete in December 2019.
