Road Closure

Air Force Road is CLOSED at Hillside Drive.  Access to the Landfill is available for authorized users only.

What You Need to Know
  • Drivers should be aware of trucks from the landfill heading south to build the new Cape Blossom Road.
Traffic Impacts
  • Access to the landfill is limited.
Project End Result

The Alaska Department of Transportation, in cooperation with Brice Incorporated, is working to complete the road to Sadie Creek. This project is expected to be completed in Summer 2023.

  • Watch for changing driving surfaces
  • Watch for reduced speed limits
  • Be alert to and follow directions of flaggers
