Project End Result

The Alaska Department of Transportation, in cooperation with QAP, is working to improve Minnesota Drive. This federally funded contract is comprised of two projects. Crews will be resurfacing Minnesota Drive from Tudor Road to 15th Avenue as well as installing pedestrian lights on Minnesota Drive. Project work includes installing sidewalk and lighting, guardrail, drainage, signalization, ADA curb ramp improvements, and paving, as well as signage and striping. This project is expected to be completed in September 2023.

  • Traffic fines are double
  • Watch for changing driving surfaces
  • Watch for reduced speed limits
  • Be alert to and follow directions of flaggers

  • Allow additional time when traveling
  • Watch for equipment and workers
