- The contractor has completed the slope embankment and road work for the 2019 construction season.
- The work area has been temporarily stabilized for the winter and the project will resume in spring 2020 for topsoil and seeding.
The Alaska Department of Transportation, in cooperation with QAP, is working on emergency repairs associated with embankment slope failure located at the Seward Highway MP 50 resulting from the November 2018 earthquake. Work will include slope repair and drainage, as well as grading, paving, and striping a 300 foot section of the highway. This project is expected to be complete in spring 2020.
